I spent two days during September 2020 taking photos of the mountains and glaciers surrounding Gornergrat.

Staying at the beautiful Kulm Hotel next to the observatory was wonderful. The views were spectacular and I spent one crispy cold night taking photos of the stars.​

Sleeping at an elevation of 3100m was challenging and I found myself waking up out of breath at night.  The waiter at breakfast explained that this was quite normal and that I would adjust to the height after 5 days.  Cannot say if that would have happened as I only stayed for two nights.  :)
